2. Officials were asked what the note left behind by the attacker said? In Arabic, it said “The Islamic State will endure forever” 
3. The ISIS slogan is “Baqiya,” from the Arabic meaning “remaining,” or enduring. It’s this word that I saw spraypainted all over Mosul
4. I can’t overstate how closely tied the phrase “The Islamic State remains” / “The Islamic State endures forever” is with the terror group
5. It’s kind of like when you hear the phrase, “You’ve come a long way baby” and immediately you go: Virginia Slims! (Baqiya = their slogan)
6. Last year in their magazine issue focusing on vehicular attacks, ISIS instructed their followers to use a truck to crush people:
7. Less well known is that same issue instructed the attacker to leave notes at the scene which make his allegiance to ISIS known. See here:
8. ISIS goes so far as to brainstorm about what specific phrase the note should employ. One suggestion: “The Islamic State will remain!”
9. I wish NYPD would release Arabic original. That’s another interesting point. From what has been reported, attacker did not speak Arabic
10. Since note is in Arabic, question is who wrote it for him? Investigation I did on ISIS cell in India showed they got help drafting note
