This is the full memo. Rebekah Mercer, Bannon and Nix were warned that it is *illegal* to have foreign bodies work on a US political campaign. In 2014. And... they did anyway.

What was Brad Parscale’s role? He took all the credit for work actually done by Cambridge Analytica. Because the work was done by foreign nationals.

Nix was the major decision maker (foreigner) and Wylie and others were the major data people (foreigners.)

Brad Parscale knows this and has massive leverage. He has already been identified as Trump’s 2020 campaign manager. 🙄 2/2
‘It was clear that as a company largely run and staffed by Britons and Canadians, apart from Bannon and Mercer at the top, Cambridge Analytica – which was to go on to work on Donald’s Trump presidential election campaign – had a looming problem’

‘Robert Mercer – listened to Wylie’s pitch. It was for a new kind of political message-targeting based on an influential and groundbreaking 2014 paper’
‘“Facebook could see it was happening,” says Wylie. “Their security protocols were triggered because Kogan’s apps were pulling this enormous amount of data, but apparently Kogan told them it was for academic use. So they were like, ‘Fine’.”
So Wylie, a Cambridge Analytica employee, knew Kogan was not pulling the data for ‘research purposes’ and bought Kogan’s data with profiles on 50 million Facebook users. Cambridge Analytica can’t say they didn’t know .
So, Cambridge Analytica (Trump’s campaign) broke two laws.

1) Using foreign nationals in Trump’s campaign and

2) Buying Kogan’s hacked research knowing that it was harvested under false pretenses.
And Cambridge Analytica claimed they deleted the data.

‘A trove of Facebook users' personal data was visible on Cambridge's internal databases in 2017, despite SCL's current denial & past promises to both Cambridge employees and Facebook that it had all been deleted in 2015.’
Alexander Nix was one of the ‘main people involved in negotiating’ with Trump campaign and made ‘’strategic alliances’ with individuals who could help ‘with some of our Super PAC activities.’
