While reading about TN's state of water resources, I have to admit that I am kind of ashamed that I didn't know this before.

There's no other way to put it.

If there is any one person in TN who can come closest to God, then it has to be K Kamaraj

If you sort TN's dams on the basis of its reservoir capacity, then 7 of the top 10 dams were built during his tenure as the TN Chief Minister.

The other 3 were built by the British.

And he built it all in a period of 10 years.

Nowadays, We build ONE flyover in 10 years.

Total area under irrigation in Tamil Nadu is about 33 Lakh acres. The dams built by Kamaraj irrigate almost 23 lakh of them.

We haven't even built half of it in the next 50 years hence.
