Mohamed Abdullah was found by his brother, Hassan Abdullah, in a boarding house on #ButeStreet, #Cardiff, #Wales during the 1919 race riots. He died from fatal blows to the head on 13th June 1919. 1/

The verdict of the jury was "Haemorrhage and concussion due to injuries received by some person or persons unknown", ie., he was hit, received a concussion, experienced a haemorrhage and died from his injuries.
1. Here's what's happened on the first day of the #CardiffRaceRiots:
Wednesday 11th June 1919 was the hottest day of the year☀️. At 10pm 🕙 a group of people in vehicle on #EastCanalWharf near #CustomHouseStreet. 2. The vehicle had a number of people in there. There were men of colour and their white wives. It got a considerable amount of attention from a group of white men on the street when it reached Cahanal Parade Bridge. A police constable arrived at the scene
1. Crowds numbering thousands gathered on St. Mary St, Custom House, The Hayes, and ‘the top end of Bute-road’. This area of town was cordoned off ⚠️, and only business-owners were allowed to pass. 2. ‘The police were in strong force at all the danger points particularly at the entrances in the quarter where negroes reside’

The information on Barry is rolling in as we speak. Last night, 50 white men showed up to a fish🐟 and chip🍟 shop on 296 #HoltonRoad, if I recall correctly.
A black man has been accosted on the street by a white man called Frederick H Longman. He accosted a man called Charles Emmanuel. He's French and from the #WestIndies. He also used to be a soldier.

1. On Friday 6th June 1919, there was a #RaceRiot in the city of #Newport in #Gwent, #SouthWales. What happened in #Newport had a huge overwhelming effect on #RaceRelations for years to come.
