The loss of #RBG leaves a hole in my heart. Her memory will continue as a blessing and her example in fighting for justice is an inspiration. I will miss her deeply. We are taking action, working with SOS @JenaGriswold, to stop the Postal Service from misinforming Colorado voters and interfering with our election. Guy Grace, now retiring after his distinguished service as the longtime director of security for @LPSK12, is an inspiring leader and a model public servant. After the Arapahoe HS shooting, for example, he re-examined processes and procedures and increased information-sharing. He was always looking to learn from tragedy.

Yesterday was a remarkable day in the Trump Presidency. And that's saying a lot. The condemnation of his current and former Defense Secretaries on the illegal plan of using the military in lieu of civilian policing was the headline, but there was more. bloomberg.com/news/articles/… Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau literally could not answer--for twenty one televised seconds of silence--when asked about Trump's leadership. The #DigitalDivide is real and its impact is painful during #Covid_19. coag.gov/press-releases… Making the same point, @Microsoft's President @BradSmi emphasized that equal opportunity depends on broadband access and adoption. Thanks, @superwuster, for pointing out how our antitrust regime misses the negative impact of certain mergers, including hurting our resilience. Our antitrust regime has proved resilient and there are opportunities to learn from past failings. nytimes.com/2020/04/12/opi… We must first recognize that resilience, like efficiency, is a critical value. There are many painful lessons we will need to learn from #COVID19. In some cases, we are re-learning them, like racial disparities in health care. At @COAttnyGeneral, we are committed to advancing the rule of law, protecting our democracy, and promoting justice for all. Today, we advanced that mission by filing a brief at #SCOTUS to defend the CO law that calls for the removal of faithless electors. coag.gov/app/uploads/20… In that brief, @JenaGriswold and I made the case that the U.S. Constitution gives the exclusive power to States to appoint and control their electors, and that includes removal if necessary. Over the next year, there will be many opportunities for how we can work together to heal our society & improve our communities. One important area is improving our criminal justice system, a topic I joined @PeteLeeColorado & @TonyExum to discuss recently.
