Guys, sorrynotsorry, but being a part of a "movement" that got rejected by African-American voters by around 80% in a lot of places does not entitle you to special treatment.
Being part of a campaign that was thoroughly rejected at the polls *twice* does not give you the authority to dictate policy to the winners.
Now, normally the Democratic Party is about being a big tent etc, but THE REASON HRC was a part of Obama's administration is because when she knew she'd lost she conceded and immediately worked her butt off to strengthen Obama and Obama's position.
He didn't reward her with Sec. of State because she was entitled to it. He did it because she'd shown herself to be a dedicated civil servant who was going to be straight to him and fair in all things. She showed herself to be a leader and Obama respected it.
You know what Bernie Sanders has shown? Reactionary bigotry. Sanders could not win in 2016. He was mathematically out of it by early June and practically out of it a month prior. In 2020 he's done EVEN WORSE.
And the reason he's done even worse is not because Biden's spectacular. Run the numbers for yourself. Biden's no Hillary. Sanders is losing because VOTERS DO NOT WANT HIM AND NEVER HAVE.
In 2016 he did only okay because voters were trying to send a message to the Democratic Party. He was never going to win the nomination and had he won it the support would have dissolved into disaffection in the general.
HE. HAS. BEEN. REJECTED.

If he wants a place in the leadership/administration the appropriate thing for him AND his remaining supporters to do would be to at minimum graciously accept defeat.
What Sanders should do is follow Hillary's example. Again, she dropped out the very second she knew she'd been rejected at the polls and immediately threw all her energy into supporting Obama.
But he won't because this was never about what's best for the Democratic Party, or policy, or America. Bernie's campaign has always been about Bernie. Remember, he's not ACTUALLY left. His entire platform has been copy pasted from other mostly female candidates.
The only thing that's truly his is M4A and that is mostly because he's mad a black man and a woman got us almost to universal healthcare and then were *gasp* credited for their work. The rest of Sanders' platform is just stuff he saw drew applause for other candidates.
So, do I want Biden to adopt policy from Harris', Warren's, Castro's, and Buttigieg's campaigns? Sure. In most of their cases they actually put in the time. But Sanders? There's no point. The only bits that are truly his are just basically dalek level bigotry.
Sanders hasn't done ANY work. He hasn't brought in voters, he hasn't written any policy, he hasn't listened to the voters, he hasn't passed any bills. He just wants kudos for being a white guy. Neither he nor his supporters are owed a damn thing.
You mad? Fine. Get to work. Pound the streets. Survey people. Raise funds for Biden. But don't demand you be included and considered most furthest best leftist when all you've done is yell racist slurs when you don't get your way.
The numbers by which Sanders has been defeated suggest that if ANY of his followers are decent human beings Biden will have no problem winning the general. Remember, HRC didn't even lose in 2016 and that's when Sanders did his best/worst.
So, if you're a Sanders supporter mad that we're not fanning you with palm leaves and feeding you grapes for the bare minimum of effort then ... I don't care. Y'all have been insufferable, you're why Trump's in office, no cookies for you.
