(THREAD) I have some words regarding last night, #YangGang...
We all had very high expectations for @AndrewYang to perform last night.

Frankly, he performed *too well* at the debate. The media did not know how to handle this. This is what happens when you #LetYangSpeak-
Out of the gate, @AndrewYang was confident about interjecting himself and calling out the media’s hyper-obsession with @realDonaldTrump.

We had an amazing start, which means we’re going to have a snowballs chance in hell at finishing strong. How does @ABC respond?

Cut the mic.

Thread: YO! I just go polled, sort of! I was at my mom's who obv has a landline, I don't, and we were watching the debates. After the debate we received a call from DC on the caller ID so I answered and it was Franklin Research poll. They listed the candidates in this order:
Press 1 for Biden, 2 for Warren, 3 for Bernie, 4 for Kamala, 5 for Pete and 6 for STEYER! No wonder he is polling so high, then they said press 7 for more candidates. Next group, press 1 for Julian Castro, press 2 for Andrew Yang. Finally I pressed 2 for Yang!
Who is Steyer paying to be listed in that first group, that is so critical to getting people to pick you in a phone poll like that. Steyer shouldn't even be before Booker imo. This made me think about how most people don't have landlines and how others would just ignore the call.

Whilst looking at post-debate hashtags (specifically #LetYangSpeak), we happened upon an interesting bot: @cooperativeness. At first glance the tweets look plausibly human, but it posts 24/7 via a custom app. Also, the profile pic is stolen.

cc: @ZellaQuixote
All but 18 of @cooperativeness's 12K tweets were tweeted via custom software called "From My Computer". As far as we can tell, this is the only account using this tool. Currently it tweets every 55 minutes, although the rate has varied and it goes dormant periodically.
What does @cooperativeness tweet about, and how does it decide? The wordcloud built from its tweets consists mostly of common words that don't point to a specific subject matter, and hashtags are a mix of things that have trended at varying points in time.

Holy shit. They did it. The crazy bastards did it. @MSNBC created a graphic with photos of the 20 candidates to appear in the first debates, and they actually went so far as to remove @AndrewYang and include someone who didn't even qualify. This is shameless in how brazen it is.
Looks like we made enough noise, #YangGang. @AndrewYang has been unerased by @MSNBC (and @marwilliamson too). #Yang2020
Good Lord. @MSNBC just can't help themselves. In the latest example, they include his photo in a list of top 8, and manage to read every name but @AndrewYang's??
