(THREAD) I have some words regarding last night, #YangGang...

We all had very high expectations for @AndrewYang to perform last night.

Frankly, he performed *too well* at the debate. The media did not know how to handle this. This is what happens when you #LetYangSpeak-

Out of the gate, @AndrewYang was confident about interjecting himself and calling out the media’s hyper-obsession with @realDonaldTrump.

We had an amazing start, which means we’re going to have a snowballs chance in hell at finishing strong. How does @ABC respond?

Cut the mic.

Throughout the debates, @AndrewYang was raising his hands, but the media can cut away from the wide angle.

At a certain point, Andrew even mockingly said “it’s the Russians!”

@ABC didn’t like that.

The audience did.

Hell, we even had @TrumpWarRoom calling it out on their Snapchat.

“Sorry Andrew— they aren’t listening to you!”

Later, they deleted said post.

As the night progressed, it became clear that Andrew wasn’t going to get speaking time.

You can’t be assertive with no video or audio feed to speak to.

@AndrewYang isn’t going to stoop to the level of taking other candidates’ podiums over, and I’m not sure he can do cartwheels.

The entire watch party was insanely frustrated. I was so overwhelmed towards the end of the night I began to cry.

I was finishing my cigarette when Nancy from the advance team saw how distraught I was.

She gave me the most reassuring hug I’ve ever had...

...I wish I knew if she had a Twitter (please tag her if you know her @), but I’d like to express my gratitude to her before I see the team again on Monday. Thank you Nancy ❤️

I think this exemplifies the importance of #HumanityFirst...

...since the beginning of my involvement with this campaign (early 2019), I could tell that this team was for real.

My first conversation with @carlypreilly and @Zach_Graumann at the May 4th Detroit rally proved that clearly.

#HumanityFirst is and always was highlighted.

Everyone on the @AndrewYang has treated me like family.

I can’t tag everyone because the list would be way too long

Regardless, the point is that we’re not nearly done yet. This campaign has saved my life and reassured my value as a human being and photographer. #SupportTheArts

Don’t even get me started on meeting @erickmsanchez with @WomenforYang in Atlanta.

These two have had a profound effect on my confidence since getting to know them... two spectacular human beings that I’ve learned so very much from.

The fact that the nobody, outsider, longer-than a longshot candidate is still standing is remarkable.

What’s even more remarkable is the fact that @AndrewYang made it to the debate stage this late in the @DNC’s game.

To anyone worried; alleviate that with phonebanking.

And to the rest of you, get up.
It’s time to go.
