The intensity of the Russian attacks may have eased over the last few days but it's still been a tragic and bloody night. Details coming up.

First to #Kharkiv then where there were two massive attacks by #Russia during the night.

7 people died and 13 were injured when the first missiles slammed into the Saltivskyi residential area of the city.

A little later, around 04:30 #Kharkiv was subjected to a new wave of terror from the air

So far 5 civilians known to be injured as rockets hit the Slobidsky + Kholodnohirsky districts, with a big fire in the latter where the local Administration building collapsed

#Ukraine's "Southern" Command confirmed a devastating blow to the invaders in #Kherson region.

In the nightly update they claim #Russia lost 29 rocket launchers, a 203 caliber Pion self-propelled gun, 5 vehicles and ammo at the base in Biloghirka.

Reports from occupied #Melitopol of an explosion in the town in the night.

There was anti aircraft fire but residents report hearing one "arrival" south of the centre. Awaiting details...

Another success for #Ukraine in the #Donbas in the early hours.

The occupiers' warehouse in #Amvrosiivka near #Donetsk was well and truly destroyed, presumably by #HIMARS.

An excellent speech by #UK Defence Minister @BWallaceMP on the critical importance of continuing to unite against #Russia.

This is from a couple of days ago in #Denmark but I missed it at the time:

#Nikopol and #KryviRih in #Dnipropetrovsk oblast were subjected to the usual shelling overnight.

Barrel artillery left a 57 year old woman in hospital during three separate rounds of fire overnight.

A church, a shop, a school and 15 houses hit. Gas and electricity knocked out.

The @guardian has managed to get an interview with the Russian soldier who recently exposed the truth about being part of the invasion army in #Ukraine

He continued his criticism of the Kremlin "because we Russians don't feel what we are doing is right."

#Russia has threatened to "turn off" the #Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in #Enerhodar.

Lieutenant General Igor Kirilov said "if the situation at the plant continues to deteriorate, withdrawing power units may be considered, which will lead to the shutdown of the NPP."

One civilian has been killed in lunchtime shelling in #Mykolaiv.

Two others have been injured according to mayor Oleksandr Senkevich after rockets fired from occupiers in #Kherson fell on the Halytsynovo district.

A little earlier #Turkiye's President arrived in #Lviv in western #Ukraine.

Now the first picture of @ZelenskyyUa and Erdogan ahead of talks which will focus on food exports, co-operation and possibly the chance of Putin meeting Ukraine's President.

#Russia is claiming that #Ukraine shelled the town of Svetlodarsk during the distribution of water at a school.

The occupiers say three civilians died, one of whom was a child. Another 12 are injured. But no pictures I can find.

Potentially big news on a so far quiet day.

Reports of explosions in both #Belgorod🇷🇺 and near the #Kerch bridge in #Crimea🇺🇦

Residents in Kerch report a loud explosion, in a local chat group some say 4 separate explosions were heard.

The occupiers say air defence was working

That's the only video or photo I can find so far from #Crimea/#Kerch and the Russians are bound to be trying to stop anything else leaking out if there is damage.

#Russia claims this is the moment its air defence took out a #Ukraine drone over the town of #Kerch, where the bridge links the city to #Crimea.

The woman is saying "what is it?"
"it's a missile" says a voice in the background.

This is reportedly a video from inside the nuclear #Zaporizhzhia power plant at #Enerhodar.

If it's not genuine, I'll be astonished -can't think of many other plants with so many "Z" military gear parked up!

Just what Putin wanted to read. I wouldn't like to have been in the room when he heard about that.

But #Turkiye is the master at playing both sides!

There are completely differing reports from #Crimea now.

Pro-Ukrainians post that the airport has been hit.
#Russia side is adamant that this is fake news.
They are so adamant and consistent in these posts though that maybe there is nothing serious to report.

No confirmation.

Plenty of ammunition going up in smoke rather spectacularly in #Belgorod inside #Russia's borders.

The fire has continued long into the evening.
