How #Ukrainian people see the victory, what they are doing to achieve it, do they understand the limits of the possible in war, how do they see #Ukraine’s dependence on partners and allies.
A 🧵based on results of the several polls conducted by @dem_initiatives in 2022:

1. Nation is united than ever before to complete the mission of survival.
Amid heavy fighting in Donetsk region, before successful offensives in Kharkiv and Kherson region majoritu of Ukrainians expressed strong faith in victory (beginning of August 2022)

2. Russian missile attacks cannot break this faith.
The poll in #Mykolaiv (late August -early September) after five months of daily bombardments most residents showed confidence that #UkrainianArmy will liberate #Kherson
So, we can suggest that 🇷🇺 missile attacks won't succeed

3. On the personal level Ukrainians are ready to make huge sacrifices to achieve victory in war.
In February 2022, before invasion, 46% said they will join #UkrainianArmy or volunteer forces or provide non-lethal aid to Army.
By the end of October 2022 this number grew to 59%❗️

4. #Ukrainians do not accept any compromises or negotiations that limit nation's sovereignty: reject NATO, cede Crimea or Donbas to #Russia
Before the war, there were 43% of respondents who were against compromises to prevent the war.

5. After five months of war, amid heavy fighting and partial retreat in #Donbas, only 19% of Ukrainians were ready to concessions to stop the war, while 55% looked for the victory and liberation of all territories.
20% wanted to see collapse of #russiaisateroriststate

6. Can #RussiaUkraineWar change it course due to 🇷🇺 missile attacks against energy infrastructure?
No, it cannot! To the contrary, survey in #Mykolaiv showed that people become more defiant and determined to achieve victory.
Nationwide poll in October confirmed this point

7. At the same time, Ukrainians understand that the victory is impossible without western economic and military aid.
However, the same opinion is shared in all Central European nations. globsec.org/sites/default/…
It means that sustainable peace solution demands Ukraine to join NATO

8. Finally, 87% of Ukrainians expect #American and #European statements and actions to tackle war crimes, crimes against humanity, aggression and crime of #GenocideOfUkrainians which #Russia openly started on 10 October 2022 with missile attacks against critical infrastructure.
