He also basically said the project, 6 years and $190M later, is “a bit of a mess”.
He’s being replaced by a jnr dev (Dave Colson) who’s only worked on basic FPS games.

Other key devs left the project these past few months, but haven't made it public - so I'm not inclined to name them.
Sources in past 24 hrs tell me that neither Star Citizen nor Squadron 42 will EVER see the light of day.

It's hamstrung by the fact that they are using an underlying engine (CryEngine/Lumberyard) which wasn't designed for such fidelity and constructs.
Anyone who thinks they can just waltz in and take over a software discipline they didn’t already spend DECADES on, is delusional.
