Overlooked part of the letter by ICE leaders seeking to abolish the agency.

Remember, ICE consists of two subagencies: Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).

ERO is unionized, HSI non-unionized.

ERO keeps getting HSI money.
The fact that 19 out of 26 HSI special agents in charge want to effectively disband ICE makes sense considering:

* ERO is the one that rounds up and deports immigrants.
* HSI is the one that fights transnational crime.
* ERO keeps swallowing up multiplying sums of HSI's budget.
Considering the above: Which makes more sense from a public safety perspective alone - keeping ICE or abolishing it?
