This tweet is like when you go see your friend’s play and they ask you what you thought and you don’t want to lie but also it was terrible so you just start listing facts that could vaguely be interpreted as praise.
“You were on stage so much, and your costumes were all such bold colors. You really memorized a lot of words.”
True story: one time I went to see a friend’s terrible play in a 20-seat theater and only six other seats were filled and after the show we all just waited because obvs we all were there for a friend and while we were waiting I realized one of the people was Mandy Patinkin.
And I realized that Mandy Patinkin sat through the same shit play for a friend and was probably also trying to think of things to say that weren’t lies. His friend came out and said “what did you think” and he looked at her and deadass said “you had so many costume changes!”
