1/ At the end of Q2, $TSLA claimed an astounding 11,166 Model 3s and 3,892 S/X in transit. Just a few months ago, this would have represented 60% of their typical QUARTERLY deliveries. 
2/ Yet amazingly, the Model 3 delivery estimates for July are tracking roughly in line with June (H/T @vucanthi, source TMC spreadsheet)
3/ And yet, according to @skabooshka, $TSLA is still making as many Model 3s as possible, outpacing July deliveries by a far margin (~7000 produced). See this great chart by @brodieferguson
4/ So if you are following along at home, total produced-but-not-delivered $TSLA Model 3s could be approaching 15,000 vehicles! As a reminder, this is what ~12k looks like...
5/ $TSLA has ~75 service centers across the US. Recent visits by bears to large centers indicates that a couple dozen Model 3s are on the lots, at most. Certainly nowhere near the 200 per lot required. See this thread from @Benshooter for example. Only 25 total.
6/ So. Where are all these $TSLA Model 3s? Something very odd is going on here.... I’m not ready to ‘go there’ yet, if you know what I mean, but I’m getting close.
