The real issue is accountability. No one's accountable. Everyone has excuses ready.

One of the biggest concerns is that Jacob Rees-Mogg is talking/listening to Steve Bannon - a man who has made no secret of his desire to tear down the prevailing structures of government and start again. He *wants* a doomsday scenario to a build a new order - and JRM admires him.
