Treason Act conceived 1351 by Ed III,offences against King/his family, the chancellor and judges whilst doing their duty. Since then been 11 amendments (last one 1945) and 3 repeals of sections (1998). 1945 one still stands legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1945/44/… which put together/removed(1)
parts/entirety of previous Acts- 1695, 1708, 1766, 1800 and 1842. Also re Ireland 1821 and Juries Acts (1820s, UK wide). the basis is the same 'shall bee guilty of designing endeavouring or attempting any Assassination on the Body of the King'. legislation.gov.uk/aep/Will3/7-8/… (2)
1708 reiterates harming judges also comes under treason 'slay any of the Lords of Session Lords of Justiciary sitting in Judgment in the Exercise of their Office' and in 1821 extended to Ireland (see pic) AT NO POINT does it extend to the COUNTRY- it is MONARCHY& JUDICIARY. (3) 
In 1842 after attempts to Queen Victoria's life following amendment added (see pic) STILL no mention of it being extended to 'offences against the country' which are covered today by TERRORISM Acts. So to see this populist claptrap being espoused as truth alarming in extreme.(4)
The Juries Acts were 'tidied up' in 1974 legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1974/23/… and 'offences' in that context: sharing or publicising case info, being absent&serving while disqualified. AGAIN NO mention of 'offences against the realm' as we have OTHER ACTS for that. Just because 'Treason' (5)
has a lovely frothy ring to it, you CANNOT trot it out as a serious piece of legislation to combat terrorism or incite hate against those who would prefer to stay in the EU (NOT an "extreme" view to hold) or any other reason- under YOUR OWN version of this non-existent Act (6)
YOU TOO would be guilty of the offence you are so quick to try and ascribe to others. THIS is why 'offences to the country' were NEVER part of ANY 'Treason Act' as a) impossible to enforce b) too easy to abuse. So stop dribbling on your keyboard and go and do some research (7)
AND if wrote this already knowing this information then article more dangerous still. 'Treason' not 'people doing stuff you don't like','people having different ideologies to you' or EVEN 'committing criminal acts due to ideology'. It is simply offences against CROWN/JUDICIARY.
