GOP lawmakers could have forced a vote on the impeachment of Rod Rosenstein - but they didn't jamiedupree.blog.ajc.com/2018/07/26/spe…
And with no legislative business in the House until after Labor Day, nothing will happen soon on the Rosenstein articles of impeachment
And if you read the resolution, you see it refers to a point in time in October 2016 - when Rosenstein was not Deputy Attorney General (sworn in April 26, 2017)

VP Pence now in meeting just off the House floor in Speaker Ryan's ceremonial office. Photos not allowed. Lots of security. Lots of reporters.
Secret Service seems especially skittish outside Pence meeting. We have been specifically warned not to push too closely for comment upon departure. Normally Pence walks by us without any issue.

#NC09 GOP candidate @MarkHarrisNC9’s campaign appears to have sent people door to door in rural Robeson & Bladen Counties to steal absentee ballots from elderly black voters and complete them for Harris. There were 1300+ such ballots in those counties in a race Harris won by 905.

The Articles of Impeachment against Rosenstein have been filed in a parliamentary "end run" around leadership and do not have the support of @SpeakerRyan or @TGowdySC.

No vote is expected anytime soon and it is highly unlikely the House would approve them anyways. 2/5
Since the Articles of Impeachment are almost certain to fail, it is likely they are being filed to give Trump a PRETEXT to fire Rosenstein.

Firing Rosenstein would let Trump replace him with a loyalist who could sharply curtail Mueller's investigation or even fire Mueller. 3/5
