A few points:

- this concerns short term tourist visas for UK visitors staying 90/180 days
- visas for longer stays are governed by national law, with some EU harmonisation

3/ - Visa waiver depends on reciprocity from the UK, but it's the UK government position to offer it

- this is separate from the border checks process and the likely application of EU law on travel authorisation to UK citizens (once that system is operating)

1/ Aaargh the new Brexit stuff for today wasn't over yet. The EU Commission has published three more sets of "future relationship" slides - on land transport, "mobility" (ie immigration) and goods regulation. Some thoughts. ec.europa.eu/commission/bre…

Gravitational corrections to the value of the muon #gminus2 - a quick roundup.

It all started with this paper - arxiv.org/abs/1801.10246 - the 3rd in a trilogy. Claimed that a correction due to Earth's gravity should alleviate tension between theory and experiment:
