Really botched the voter ID talking point there. You’re supposed to say you need photo ID to get on a plane (which also isn’t entirely true).
That surprises a lot of people, but it’s right there on the TSA website.
.@_justinlevitt_ even pulled this off several years back when he testified before the Senate.

Her family didn’t know she was there. It would’ve cost between $30-$100 to get her out.

Two observations from this. The first is that I wonder if there's a correlation between nervous and mental disorders and radical politics. I don't just mean on the left side. I've encountered a lot of damage on the right as well. I have some ideas on this.
On depression, I see it frequently linked to the state of the world, it isn't just biological. Not everyone who is depressed is into radical politics but I would say they are overrepresented in radical politics. There's a grim hope internally that fixing the world could fix them

When I was too insular and numb to understand how his words could potentially (and did) affect people's lives, I found Milo moderately amusing on news programmes as a guy bringing vague unpredictability to a stale format.
It doesn't excuse it *at all*, but I assumed everybody was aware that he was just saying anything offensive for attention, and I saw him as a harmless pest. It wasn't until I saw vids of huge crowds unironically cheering his statements that I hated him.
I have made a lot of mistakes like this. I took a lot of things for granted. The biggest part of it is almost certainly white guy privilege, but another part is a feeling of complete isolation from society.

As promised, here’s my general ideas about potential policies. The goal here is to throw some ideas out there & hopefully get some feedback from more knowledgeable people, & maybe get others thinking.
We often like to think about how an ideal society should be organized, but less often do we consider the short to medium term steps needed to defeat our enemies, consolidate power, & move society in the right direction.
One of the Right’s biggest obstacles is a lack of vision & organization. Many of us don’t fully grasp how to advance our interests. Our enemies, on the other hand, are often drawn from powerful interest groups.
