The kinds of racist rhetoric and conspiracism that are common currency among organizations like Patriot Prayer and the Proud Boys are not just benignly kooky; they trace ideological threads that have driven a great deal of terrifying harassment and extreme violence.
Far-right propagandist Alex Jones disseminated conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. This resulted in the parents of children murdered by Adam Lanza receiving intense waves of harassment and threats, forcing some of them to move repeatedly.
Alex Jones was also a major vector in pushing the "PizzaGate" hoax, which culminated in a gunman firing a rifle inside a pizza shop while attempting to "investigate" the claims of the conspiracy. Patriot Prayer leader Joey Gibson cites Jones as the inspiration for his activism.

The Daily Stormer Book Clubs are a network of neo-Nazi cells spread across the US, Canada and Europe that began on Andrew Anglin’s The Daily Stormer web forum. Within these smaller regional groups, fascists can meet IRL to coordinate racist intimidation/violence. #stormerbreaker
Over the past two years, the PDX Stormers have disseminated racist and anti-Semitic propaganda throughout the Portland metro area, in some instances intentionally targeting elementary school children with their anti-Semitic flyering. #stormerbreaker

(THREAD) Reminder: Our enemies in the Far Right & state use the tactic of disinformation to sew division in our movements & to drain us of popular support. DO NOT believe everything you read about antifascists in the media.
This may be obvious to most of us, but as antifascists it is our job to push back against damaging false narratives when they crop up in communities we are involved with. It is repetitive, frustrating work but very necessary.
The idea that antifascists are mindless thugs who attack random people is a beloved trope of the right which sadly many liberals parrot. The "both sides" idea that antifascists are the moral equivalent of fascists is another common fallacy. These have to be countered rigorously.

It’s important to point out this system has been broken for a long time.

But this is a striking example of why the Trump policy of separating immigrant children from their parents is MONSTROUS.

They may end up in the hands of human traffickers and TRUMP IS DOING IT ANYWAY.
Trump knows this is a potential outcome and he is separating immigrant children from their parents anyway.

This is what happens when you dehumanize people, when Trump calls them “animals,” “illegals,” “rapists and murderers.”

These are CHILDREN.

THREAD showing evidence I've come across that suggests the recent murder of a young Jewish man in California was committed by a neo-Nazi, possibly as a politically motivated killing. (Sat on this for a week waiting on editors but now bits of the info are already out, so fuck it).
On January 2nd a 19-year-old Jewish man went missing in southern California. He turned up dead on Jan 9th, buried in a shallow grave in Borrego Park (wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=3…). A former class-mate was arrested on suspicion of the murder on Jan 12th.
The deceased is Blaze Bernstein and the suspected killer--now charged with the murder--is Sam Woodward, 20. (Referred to here on out as Blaze and Sam). See the next tweet for the LA Times story.
