In a now-deleted tweet, Virginia Republican Senate candidate Corey Stewart called Michigan Democratic governor candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who's Muslim, an "ISIS commie." This has gotten no major media attention as far as I can tell. thinkprogress.org/corey-stewart-…
Corey Stewart's campaign sends me this quote from Stewart, who is claiming that the bigoted tweet from his account was tweeted not by him but by "one of my vendors." 
Stewart’s campaign says it won’t answer my questions about the alleged “vendor” or his/her employment status. It told The Hill that it won’t allow the alleged person to tweet under Stewart’s name any more but won’t take any further action.
Stewart has now added a sentence to his statement from yesterday, this time saying "there is no evidence" for his bigoted "ISIS" claim about El-Sayed.
