In the same vein -- @CharlesPPierce and @jbview -- would not hush money drawn from campaign accounts be something like using CREEP money to pay burglars who broke into the Watergate to keep quiet?
And isn't preventing politicians from paying off people for whatever reason the basis for campaign finance laws enacted after Watergate?
