Love that thanks to the internet we get to know which comedians wouldn't care if we were sexually assaulted by their comedian friends.

Do these assholes even realize that what people like Louis CK and Aziz Ansari did was WORSE bc they made money off of telling people the things they we're actively doing were wrong?

They knew what they were doing. They made us TRUST them by pretending to be the good guys.

Today is already a shit day to be a fat person on the internet (haha, so it's a day ending in y) but I want you to know that you are valid and gorgeous and your health is no one else's fucking business.

You deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
You deserve to buy clothes that aren't marked up 3x the price of straight size clothing and you deserve to be paid the same fucking money as straight size people for the same work.

You deserve love and acceptance from the people in your life.
You deserve great sex (if you want it) with partners who are enthusiastic about your body.

You are not worth less than a thin person.

You are not something to be tolerated. You are something to be celebrated bc you are the only you that exists.

Do people who think showing a fat model is promoting obesity also think that showing a disabled model is promoting disability?
And since Tess Holliday is very outspoken about working out, maybe the idea that people are worried about showing "unhealthy" people as role models is really just thinly veiled bigotry and ableism.
The argument is so flawed. Why would not being in perfect health be something we had to hide from people anyway?

Health isn't linear. People get sick. People become disabled. Some people recover and some people don't but neither is morally superior???

Guys we don't know that Louis CK DIDN'T make things right. We don't know that he DIDN'T work to repair the comedy careers of several women who quit comedy because of him, start a scholarship for young women who want to be creative writers
Send a handwritten letter to each and every victim with a personalized message recognizing the actual actions he took and why they were wrong and that he DIDN'T develop a new set of self-critical material and deliver it to an audience who actually consented to see him and open up
about how shitty his behavior was and that all he wants to do is try to repair the wrongs and serve as an example to men... We don't KNOW that he DIDNT do that so he probably did ok jeez lay off

As CNN showed in a video, Republicans are starting to hand-wave around the issue of Trump’s guilt. vox.com/policy-and-pol… They argue that crimes other than treason don’t count, “anything” is a crime, or they run from reporters.
So people who were hoping Republicans would get squeamish once it became impossible to pretend Trump is innocent, I’m sorry to report that your optimism was misguided.

Marketing #fail of the month: I visited the big @TMobile store in Burbank, CA - planning on getting the new @oneplus 6T, but the @petelau2007 @JohnLegere love-fest is going to go sour very shortly, if my experience was any indicator.
Staff not only had zero product knowledge of the phone, but clearly didn't even care. I casually asked what the phone specs were (storage, camera), and the store associate begrudgingly took out his own phone to research the answer via the Web.
There were no specs displayed beside the only 6T in the store, shoved in a back corner. There was no @oneplus product-specific signage whatsoever. A basic rule of product marketing & sales is that you have to both #Know about your product, and #Care about it.

I was sexually assaulted. More than once. And the first time? I didn't feel any of the stuff society tells you you're supposed to feel. I didn't feel ashamed, or sullied, or humiliated. I was just pissed.
It didn't ruin my life. Honestly, the trauma I have comes from how people *reacted* to me talking about it. Refusing to believe, suggesting it was my fault, all that shit. The actual assault? I don't have trauma around that. Subsequent ones, yes.

He acknowledges he "may have met" Ford. Goes on to tout letter signed by women vouching for him.
