Yep @uzochiapa ... well it'll go up and down a bit over the next few weeks before driving higher on its way to catch Apple.

Still, I'm delighted Apple proved me wrong on first to $1Tn - ... given I said this back in 2010. Cook has been remarkable.
However @uzochiapa, that said, it was remarkably close ... especially since back then Apple was $200bn+ and Amazon must have been around $70bn ... it all boiled down to 4 weeks. Of course, I didn't expect it until 2020 ... so I was wrong on who and when aka I was wrong.
However, I'm going to use this this opportunity to heap praise on Cook. I was expecting Apple to falter under Jobs and Cook has been ... nothing less than remarkable. He has added a good decade to the longevity of that company.
Oh, before someone says "But Apple is a $100bn ahead of Amazon" .. it's relative sizing.

Back in 2010, Apple market cap was 300%+ of Amazon. In 2018, it's about 110%+ ... the gap closes.
X : How did you come up with Amazon hitting $1T back in 2010?
Me : Gosh, this was back at Canonical. I used a map, looked at the potential market, looked at how Amazon played the game, applied a punctuated equilibrium but mostly waved chickens in the air at Norse Gods.
