This SC/ST act was here since 1986, brought to existence by Congress. BJP just tried to maintain the status quo & I believe there is nothing wrong in that! There are strong reasons to it.

BJP’s image was of urban party with upper caste base voters. This image was broken down along with shattered dreams of breaking India forces in 2014, when party sweeped 19 out of 19 SC reserved seats in Uttar Pradesh..
Big Deal? Yes! Mayawati the SC mascot scored Big Zero! The SCs were no more just SC, they started identify with their larger identity, A Hindu! It was shocking, disheartening for the project ‘Break India- piece by piece’!!!
Anti Indian, Breaking Indian forces came into the picture. Congress had to lead the charge. Break this unity. How come this divided mass since 1000s of yrs behaving like a unit? Lets burn Gujarat, Haryana with Jats,Maharashtra with Marathi vs Dalits? But something was not working
Idea..Let’s turn the tables, how about anguishing upper caste against the current regime? Let’s call puppet judges, touch the tinder box, abolish the 3 decades old SC-ST act! Doesn’t matter if it is Supreme Court, perception will be made that BJP is behind it. And it worked!!!
There was no option left. BJP had to retain the old version for the larger interest of Nation. Remember the same court is silent on many Hindu-Muslim issues, but actively gave the judgement which may create infighting among Hindus.
Time for us to understand the big picture. This reservation discussion can wait. Bigger picture will remain the same, "Breaking India forces". Focus. Else in no time we will be Islamic caliphate, and our son-daughters will either be slaughtered or wishing Alhamdillullah!!!
Though we had a history of infighting, we were spread from far Afghanistan to probably Myanmar, reduced to less than 50% of land size! But looks like there is no learning. May be practicing this beautiful peaceful slogan will help, Naraa-E- Takbeer....Ollah Hu Uberr!!!
