.@SenatorCollins says she’s not hearing from her constituents, and now I know why. Today in her Bangor office we witnessed the interns taking many phone calls, but NOT writing down any of the constituents comments. They just said “I’ll pass that on to the Senator.” Then hang up.
No writing notes, no typing on computer. Next call, same thing. We called out one of them after he said “I’m writing your comments down now to pass on to the Senator”...but not actually doing it! 😡. Keep calling, but ask them to read back the message they’re going to pass on.
This is not something new for her staff. Also had an incident with @SenatorCollins senior staffer in Portland in February. Suspected she wasn’t writing down my message so asked her to read it back to me. She refused. Asked why. Said “l am not going to regurgitate your message.”
