I suggest that you note the recent a) U.S. directed arrest and intended extradition to the leading Chinese tech company Huawei’s CFO (and daughter of the founder) and b) the violent demonstrations against taxes and the rich in France as notable dots ...
and connect them with other dots related to conflicts within and between countries (especially as it pertains to populism and the conflict with China being beyond trade) to see the most powerful forces at work.
In my opinion, these forces, together with where we are in the short term and long term debt cycles, are and will continue to be, the main drivers of our markets and economies. I suggest that you plan and diversify accordingly.

Wow! It’s been one year since the publication of Principles: Life & Work, over 1.5 million have been sold worldwide, more people than I could imagine have told me that it has been life changing for them, and I’ve had many meaningful conversations with you here.
I’ve been especially pleased to watch many organizations start to create idea meritocracies that will bring them meaningful work and meaningful relationships through radical truthfulness and radical transparency—and to hear the positive effects this approach is already having.

It has been a real joy to hear that so many of you find the principles about habits and my book in general to be helpful. A number of people have developed habits that have helped them access these principles on a regular basis that you might be interested in.
The most common ones are going to Principles to find the relevant ones when they are stuck, referring to one a day, and using the Coach (which is an app that you tell your problems to and it directs you to principles that might be helpful).

This is a fascinating thread about the history of Sears battling white supremacy. We tell people all the time that money does not override whiteness. In some cases, those with power can choose profit over social pressure though.
It's also a personal lesson that brings home to me how our history impacts us. I grew up in the deep south, outside of Atlanta, GA. My family and community always had a strong preference for Sears as a brand. I never understood why, and I'm not sure they knew either.
History impacts us even when we no longer remember the details. The founder of Sears standing up for black progress and black dignity probably made an indelible mark on our community for generations.

1. Hillary wrote a book, but titled it incorrectly. Keep in mind that the Clinton's don't play politics at the beginner level.
2. There were lots of twists & turns during the 2016 election, but I'm only going to discuss my view of this main one, the Billy Bush tape.
