The Texas Patriot Network isn't as prominent as some other Texas-based militias, but the rhetoric's all the same: anti-Islam bigotry, support for Texas secessionists, marching with white supremacists, etc.
The chats were unearthed by @IGD_News, and put paid to these goons' claims that they were just there to spread "the love of our lord, Jesus Christ."
By my count, this is the third annual armed-far-right-slash-white-supremacist-protest-in-downtown-Houston since 2016.
