Holy secret programs Batman!

Just realized my Dad worked on HAARP. Growing up, he was always on long trips to Fairbanks, AK.

He briefly described his work ... then joked he'd have to kill me bc it was classified.

Is there a HAARP facility in Alabama?…
Three transmitter sites, including Jordan Lake, AL.

I don't believe we steered Dorian to decimate the Bahamas, underground bases or not. More precise weapons available.

Much more plausible HAARP technology was able to hold Dorian offshore, rather than steering its path.

I hate to be the buzzkill, but endless cycle of @realDonaldTrump #Alabama coverage is another waste of everyone’s time. The courts are still getting packed with his judges. Environmental regulations are still being rolled back. Refugee children are still dying...
Trade wars rage on. A woman’s right to choose is being legislated out of existence. Russia’s foreign policy and economic agendas are still being propped up. There’s no 25th Amendment coming to save us. No impeachment (as of yet).
Black Americans are still suffering from systemic racism. Law enforcement culture is still violent and criminal. Hate crimes are rising exponentially. Assault rifles are still not banned. Young white men are still committing mass shootings.

Remember #POTUS said: "Florida - South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated." by #HurricaneDorian? And, the #FakeNews make fun of him? The Governor of Alabama got prepared in case #HurricaneDorian hit them.
#POTUS never says something without a meaning. When I heard him say that, I knew it was most than a clue to research Alabama. What I found is a submarine named USS Alabama (SSBN 731)
"Alabama is one of eight Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines stationed at Naval Base Kitsap."
Type, class: Ballistic Missile Submarine, nuclear propulsion - SSBN; Ohio class
Builder: General Dynamics Electric Boat, Groton, Connecticut, USA

Awarded: February 27, 1978
Laid down: August 27, 1981
Launched: May 19, 1984
Commissioned: May 25, 1985

1. Trump's obsession with his #Alabama gaff is defensive. He's trying to disprove he's suffering from dementia. If he just stopped tweeting he could cover it better. My uncle, who told me he did Reagan's PDB, made some comments to me in his 80's that in later years made sense.
2. Reagan was able to cover he had Alzheimer's. But President Reagan didn't rage Tweet 120 times over a holiday weekend. Trump will continue to try to cover his decline, while he and his kids rob the treasury blind.

I won't be surprised if he drops out.
3. If he can't draw crowds the primary campaign will be torture for him. He's not well. And he may be grooming Pence to feed his family's need for cash and a promise to pardon him. I thought he'd bail before the tax files were exposed. Once he is shown to be a business failure

Interesting thought here: according to our data, the higher ranked team has won roughly 72% of the time over the last decade in the #SEC. That's down from 80% in a study about 5 years ago.

Since expansion (2012) each team has played 56 conference games, and only 5 are above 500.
That's 392 games over 7 seasons, meaning roughly 110 times a lesser ranked team defeated a "more talented" opponent.

Obviously all 5 of Bama's losses are to "less talented" teams, bc they're a top 2 recruiter. The next highest talent recruiter is #UGA, who has lost just 15 times
In the last 7 seasons. Of those 15, every loss except once to #Alabama is a loss to a "less talented" team. So right away, 17% of the "upset losses" are held by the top two recruiters in SEC, bc nearly everyone they play is "less talented" than they are any given Saturday

People blaming @realDonaldTrump for #AlabamaAbortionBan ,
Alabama's new bill banning #abortionists is how laws are made.
#TRUMP has nothing to do with state creating law.
Creating a law ALWAYS goes through the same process.

Sad how ppl are fighting to kill babies
#AlabamaAbortionBill has zero to do with @POTUS
Why are ppl blaming @realDonaldTrump ?
The #President swears an OATH to up carry out the laws.

He could make an executive order to overturn #Alabama new abortion law, but still gets sent to Senate to be approved by 2/3 vote
#Alabama #abortion ban goes much further than #WomansRightsAreHumanRights because although YES a womans body is her own right to do whatever, I don't care.
Abortion is killing another humans right to EVERYTHING.
+ What rights do men get in protecting an baby he also made?

We are going to have a frank talk about women’s rights, boycotts and big tents. The vast majority of Americans and the vast majority of Democrats support Roe v Wade and the autonomy and liberty of patents to choose the size and timing of their families. We must #StopTheBans. 1/
People are mobilizing on Tuesday May 21 to rally support for women’s rights and patients’ reproductive justice. (yes, trans and non-binary people can get pregnant too - be inclusive!) We must show support for patients and doctors criminalized under these extreme laws. Sign up! 2/
Sadly, one of our rallies must be in #Louisiana where a Democratic Governor pledged to sign a bill banning abortion rights even in the case of rape and incest. It’s awful and people should ask @LouisianaGov to give patients the same choice his wife had! 3/…

#Alabama, #Ohio, #Missouri, and #Georgia have begun the @GOP's orchestrated attack on women with restrictive abortion laws.

Make NO mistake this is NOT about protecting life. It is a hostile GOP and their #WarOnWomen restricting #WomensReproductiveRights and #WomensHealth.
Highly restrictive abortion laws are not associated with lower abortion rates! Whether legal or prohibited the number of abortions taking place remains relatively unchanged. Highly restrictive abortion laws simply prevent SAFE abortions.
In countries where abortion is completely banned or permitted only to save the woman’s life or preserve her physical health, only 1 in 4 abortions were safe; whereas, in countries where abortion is legal on broader grounds, nearly 9 in 10 abortions were done safely.

As a longtime upper west sider, I'm considering a run to #PrimaryNadler

DONE with Dem leaders refusing to confront the GOP's assault on our democracy.

Refusing to #impeach is normalizing Trump and his rightwing extremist cohorts.

If #Alabama isn't a wake up call, what is?
Wow, so many encouraging comments. I appreciate you all!
I fully appreciate that there's a good faith difference between those of us who think the Democratic Party needs a leadership overhaul (something I've talked about since my Iraq war protest days) and those who fully trust Dem leaders. But maintaining the status quo isn't working.

Every life is precious
EXCEPT for rape victims like myself,
EXCEPT for victims of incest, EXCEPT for any woman who can't be pregnant and needs an abortion.

@GovernorKayIvey is 74.
She will never have worry about getting pregnant when her birth control fails.
#Alabama ranks as the 2nd worst state.
#Alabama ranks 50th in education.
#Alabama ranks 3rd in poverty.
#Alabama has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy in the country.

If you don't think these things are connected, you would be wrong.

#Alabama has the 4th largest #deathrow population in the US.
I look forward to @GovernorKayIvey commuting all those sentences--182-- in light of her newly codified in law POV that "every life is precious."

Dear fellow white males,

Even though I'm outnumbered 2:1, we're going to have this conversation. Since I want to ensure I have your attention, here's a picture of boobs with a gun.

#Alabama #Georgia #Ohio #WomensRightsAreHumanRights
Have that out of your system? No? Well, I'll find more. Bigger guns. More boobs.

So let's talk about your mom's pussy and the fact that your father or father figure is probably a gigantic asshole.

He is a gigantic asshole because when you were a little boy, you respected and cherished your mother. But your gigantic asshole of a father did not. Children have to be taught things like what to be scared of and what to hate and what values to cultivate.

1. Any Dem who says we need MORE evidence for #impeachment or that they're worried about the optics, shouldn't be in a leadership position.

2. Instead of MORE candidates joining the 2020 race, we need some to start withdrawing.…

I've been in politics for two decades and I've seen my party steadily lose ground to the rightwing onslaught. Women are now facing #Gilead in states like #Alabama, #Georgia, #Ohio, and more. The Republican Party is an extremist threat.

I look at my own efforts working within the Democratic establishment to bring about change. And I see failure. I want to do better. I ask Dem leaders to look in their hearts and ask what they've done wrong. How did we let things get here?

Thread. Long: I'm feeling a profound sadness. A deep sadness. One that is inhabiting my very core. Why? I've lived long enough to know what life was like before women won their necessary & long overdue rights. Trust me when I say that April 17, 1982 was a day filled with
boundless joy for women all over #Canada. Our rights were enshrined into our Charter of Rights & Freedoms on that day. It was a very long road from being legally considered “persons” to finally being treated – at least on paper – as equals under the law.

Now I'm seeing our very
hard won rights under attack. Particularly our right to a safe, medical abortion. What's stunning about the anti abortion laws being passed in states like #Alabama is the total lack of understanding about why an abortion is performed. The medical reasons include problems with the

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I’m not going to do that on the #Alabama assault on choice. Let’s just be clear, this has nothing to do with religion, or protecting children.
1. This isn’t about some insistence on Christian principles. Jesus gave us his commands- to love thy neighbor, to heal the sick, and give back to the poor. Do you see Alabama doing anything about the poor?
2. Most of Christianity opposes the death penalty. Has Alabama taken recent steps to eliminate it? Let me know.

Who on earth would EVER be fine with a "baby being murdered and dismembered for profit"?? But of course you know that's a straw man.

If you're arguing abortion = murder and a pregnant woman says it's not, who gets to make that judgment? A bunch of male politicians?

And here are my thoughts in greater detail in my book, which has an entire chapter on the #abortion battle.

Furthermore, if you truly believe innocent life must be protected, how do you justify the GOP taking health care away from sick children, in some cases condemning them to death?

A sin of omission (letting someone die) is no less a travesty than a sin of commission.
