Last night @DerbyChrisW claimed disciplinary action against anti-Semites within the Labour Party was akin to McCarthyism.

He made the claims during a Labour Against the Witch-Hunt event in Liverpool.
Mr Williamson said: “I absolutely think we have got to stand together in solidarity and call out this for what it is.

"It is just a cover and one of the other speakers has already made that point very eloquently."
"This is about bullying. You know in a way we are living in the pages of George Orwell’s 1984. Good is bad, black is white and we had the Ministry of Truth and all the rest of it."
Still quoting Chris Williamson: “It is McCarthyism and McCarthyism came to an end and people stood up and called it out for what it was: a pile of bloody nonsense.”
He added: “There is online appalling abuse, there is no doubt about that.

"But they’re conflating this online abuse with Labour Party members as if it Labour Party members that are responsible for that."
Chris Williamson: "But where is the evidence for that? If there is evidence, then clearly they have no place in the Labour Party. The truth is there isn’t very much evidence of that, is there?”
Also at the event with the serving MP was Tony Greenstein. Tony was expelled from the Labour Party earlier this year.

He called for Jewish Labour Movement and Labour Friends of Israel to cut their ties with the Labour Party.
He said: “At this very moment, Netanyahu - with the support of the Israeli Labour Party - is trying to deport 40,000 African refugees. Why? Because they are not white and they are not Jewish.

"Now if that is not racist, I really don’t know what racism is."
Mr Greenstein added: "And yet the Jewish Labour Movement, the representative of the Israeli Labour Party inside the British Labour Party, supports their deportation.

“There is no disagreement between the Israeli Labour Party and the British Labour Party."
Last tweet of quotes: "I have to say… this is my own personal opinion, that the Jewish Labour Movement, along with Labour Friends of Israel, should have nothing whatsoever to do with the British Labour Party.”
