As a musician playing in night club bands long ago in Hawaii, I saw way more than my share of bar fights and there's nothing glamorous or exciting about them, trust me.
Apparently there's some right wing moron out there today saying "all men get in bar fights."

Fuck that asinine bullshit. Maybe all STUPID men get in bar fights.
Once you see what happens when someone gets a shot glass shoved into their eye, bar fights tend to lose their glamour.

I find it absolutely baffling that Trump's comments about declaring a state of national emergency and using the military to seize land at the border haven't caused a MUCH bigger outcry. This is one of his most disturbing threats yet.
Trump is now playing out the bad ideas of autocrats down through history. A completely phony "crisis" with heavily racist overtones, leading to a massive power grab under the guise of an emergency.
Maybe it's just me, but I think we should take the guy who has the ability to launch nuclear war seriously.

I'm disgusted by this woman. I am not a sexual assault survivor, but I have been unwantedly groped in my life. One incident was particularly scary. I was dancing at a club and man came up and tried to stick his hand up my skirt. I slapped it away.
The man proceeded to try and maneuver me against a wall so he could continue his attempt to get his hand up my skirt. Somehow I was able to dance away from him and my night continued.
The incident lasted 2 or 3 minutes, but it was a terrifying 2-3 minutes. I didn't know if I would get away. I didn't know if anyone would even see what was happening because it was a dark, crowded night club. I didn't know if someone saw it if they'd intervene.

Again, this one's difficult to explain to folks not personally familiar with doing ag on a day to day basis

and keep in mind that I'm in veggie/fruit farming, YMMV with meat/dairy/grain etc, and "east coast" in this instance p much means "everywhere except CA"
But basically, the east coast approach is basically: farming is a ~lifestyle~

West coast: farming is a JOB
eastern US: countryside is slower-paced. ahh nature. sometimes you get stuck behind slow-moving tractors!

California farm regions: FRANTIC ACTIVITY ALL THE TIME. Lots of trucks filled w produce barreling down highway every May-Dec
