There's one silent Virus that has infected everyone in the world and destroying lives, but not many are aware of it.

Everyone here should know and protect themselves from that monstrous Enemy.

I'm talking about FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out

In this thread I'm going to go in depth
You probably know what it means on a shallow level, but I'm going to describe exactly how it affects the modern person.

So how does FOMO affect your life?
1- Endless distractions - You can't focus on anything, you have to be available and constantly refresh your social media feed so you won't miss anything interesting. God forbid someone have fun without you.

Breaking news- People have fun in the real world while you're online.
2- Depression - Easy to become depressed when you hop on IG/FB and everyone is dating hot GF/BF, traveling while you're working, driving sports car and having fun.

You compare your boring everyday life with the highlights of others.

Online everyone is more Rich/Hot/Fun/Alpha
3- Loss of Motivation - How do you feel when you read about someone who became a millionaire/shredded in 6-12 months? Do you feel motivated? I bet you don't because you've probably tried/trying but still didn't make it.

Every1 makes 6 figs while you're still grinding..
Here's the thing, everyone on social media appears more successful than they really are.
They softly brag but hide it behind fake altruism. "See how lavishly I live so you can motivate yourself"
"I'm not bragging, I'm sending motivation through the population, plz follow on IG"
4- Inconsistency - FOMO can make you inconsistent in your biz.
Say you're working on creating a brand+product, but you don't make much money, if any at all
OTOH you see people on Twitter making $$ dropship/ copywriting/ whatever
AND YOU WANT A PIECE OF THE PIE TOO.
Ending nowhere
5- Losing money on trends - Trends come as fast as they go, but when everybody is enjoying the new hot shit, you don't want to be late to the party, so you throw your $$ on the last iPhone/car or any shit that isn't really improving your life.

Why? Because everyone else does it.
So how do you fight FOMO ?

1- First step, just like always - Awareness. Once you're aware to the power of FOMO you can develop immunity to it.

2- Realize and internalize that nothing you see online is as glamorous in real life, just like Instawhores.
3- Keep your head down and focus on your mission.
Yes someone else may make a killing in other industry, doesn't mean you won't too.
And yes, someone else has made it in your industry 10x faster than you. So what?

What's matter is where you'll be 5 years from now. Not next month
4- Create a plan and stick to it.
Once you have a plan, you follow it and you're focused and determined, nothing else really affects you.

It's going to take as long as it takes, and you'll make it. When your time is right and you've grown enough as a person.

Keep grinding.
