I've been trying to get people to burn their boats for more than ten years. In 2002 I started planning for migrating hundreds of millions of people (@hexayurt)

People are finally starting to see it 200 RTs some light reading c2004 appropedia.org/User:Vinay_Gup…
200 retweets for something so nihilistic and confrontational tells me that we are finally ready to get started. I spent most of 15 years getting ready for the shit to hit the fan. I have things I'm ready to teach, when people are ready to learn. And a company to run. It matters.
My @Mattereum is actually a really adult, load-bearing element of the future. We want to use the blockchain to track matter, including safety critical stuff from aeroplane parts to insulin. But track isn't enough: it's a new ownership paradigm. And it scales up, and also far down
I started looking for technology to do track and trace in refugee camps in like 2005. Seems like we need to build it. Of course @mattereum follows the Mobile Phone Rule: the fastest way to the villages is though vast economies of scale. But the goal is to get the matter digitized
A bunch of benefits come out of getting the matter digitised - strapped to its metadata and represented by interlocking networks of machine read/write property rights. @mattereum makes sharing possible. It makes track and trace economic. It makes scarcity more manageable.
The stuff we will come out with first is the easiest to monetize. The showcase projects. But be clear that the goal is everything gets digital - we do for matter what the internet just did for information, and we do it decentralised. @mattereum has global ambitions. To the camps.
It's just a matter of making matter more manageable. @mattereum is meant to give us all that fab and groovy stuff we wanted in the future: smart property, self owning tools, you name it. Lots of hard legals. But then a phase transition. Cell phones in Chad could access it too.
My disaster relief/deep dark green people have been wondering what I've been doing since 2014: I didn't give up, I grew up. I'm building the tools that are within my reach to solve the resource allocation, pollution control, sharing economy problem. @mattereum fits on my old map.
It won't be immediately obvious as we start to publish more what the link is, so I'll explain here: in a world of scarcity, nothing can be wasted. @mattereum makes it possible to use computers to manage matter in a *generic* way - not "app at a time" like Airbnb/Uber. *Generic*
As mentioned, @mattereum will start by doing profitable, friendly cases first. But once the paradigm is established and we have industrial scale, developing world trade and then fully austere and distressed environments get done as the niches open up. They'll all have phones soon
