🔥🔥If you're a Republican in #Florida and still thinking of voting for Rick Scott (Re-elect Bill Nelson @NelsonForSenate), please read this first.

📄I am going to post excerpts from a report prepared by American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive #Democratic American Super PAC.
🔥This report is entitled "Florida Man Buys State/Koch Impacts in the Sunshine State and although written by a Super PAC, it is backed up with countless news articles from reputable news outlets.

ℹ️It only includes years 2010-2016.
▶️This thread will try to summarize the pages from the report (which I'll post) which refer to Rick Scott and how the Koch Network helped him and hurt #Floridians.
▶️Introduction: Scott attended various Koch network conferences & helped by Americans for Prosperity (AFP), a Koch "grassroots" advocacy group. The director of AFP said that Scott would be a good Vice Presidential pick (the position Pence is in now).
AFP teamed up with 60 Plus Association, another Koch network nonprofit "promoting less government, less taxes approach to seniors issues...ending federal estate tax, strengthening gun rights and saving Social Security for the young." It has also been called the Conservative AARP.
▶️By "saving" Social Security, they mean privatizing Social Security so that either they or their rich friends can make money from the process. Generation Opportunity, another nonprofit Koch org has worked solely to campaign against SS, something 1 in 5 Floridians depend on.
▶️This table tracks money Koch Industries and the Koch family contributed to Rick Scott in 2014 only. There's a total of $42,000.

Source: Florida Department of State Campaign Finance Database, Accessed 8/19/16
▶️The report notes that Scott benefited from David Koch's $250,000 donation to the #Florida Republican party between 8/23/14-10/30/14.

▶️This is important. Americans For Prosperity (AFP) "has been walking neighborhoods" for Gov. Rick Scott.

👉Gainesville Sun 8/29/13:

▶️AFP is welcoming Scott with open arms.

gainesville.com/news/20130829/…
▶️AFP President Tim Phillips bragged about Scott's "impressive job creation, better education & a balanced budget, all without raising taxes."

▶️Phillips: We're going to use that field effort, like we're already doing, to educate folks on his record. & it's a pretty good one."
▶️Phillips: AFP: the conservative organization has built a political machine in #Florida, with 10 offices, more than 40 paid employees and hundreds of volunteers who do regular phone banking and monthly door-to-door canvassing on a wide array of issues.
👆Next page, 1st two points above.

▶️AFP helped organize rallies to support Governor Scott's Agenda

▶️AFP-Florida praised Rick Scott for backing off his support of Medicaid Expansion

▶️AFP-Florida "Praised Scott's Actions" & said lawmakers should have provided more tax cuts
▶️60 Plus thanked Rick Scott for lowering the cost-of-living & improving the quality of life for #Florida. 60 Plus I'm assuming is the website of the organization, spreading bunk.

60plus.org
▶️60+: Charlie Crist thinks that #Florida seniors losing their doctors under Medicare Advantage is great. You know what Florida seniors think is great? A Governor not named Charlie Crist.

[Koch org spreads lies about Rick Scott's Gubernatorial opponent Charlie Crist.]
More bunk:
▶️AFP: Charlie Crist wants you to have higher utility bills.
AFP-#Florida Director says Rick Scott would do a good job as Vice President

▶️Scott's aide refused to confirm Scott's attendance at Koch conference outside Vail, CO.
💥So if anyone asks you how Rick Scott got elected Governor once, let alone twice, these are some of the answers: the Koch network, operating with lots of money, lots of employees and lots of bunk.
