9. This is maybe my favorite one. President Trump endorsed Mark Sanford's primary challenger Katie Arrington because Sanford had criticized him. Then Arrington lost in Lindsey Graham's South Carolina. Sad!
10. To be fair, the President's endorsed Senate candidates in very red states like Missouri, North Dakota, and Montana did indeed unseat sitting Democratic senators. Those were important, though unsurprising victories.
11. In Florida, Rick Scott (R) defeated Bill Nelson in the Senate race by basically the same margin (about 1%) that Rick Scott has won every statewide race he's ever run. Unclear Trump's influence made a difference.
12. Thanks to a reader who reminded me of this gem, the Virginia Senate race where white nationalist Corey Stewart got shellacked.
13. Update (dangers of writing about things in real time): It appears the FL and MT Senate races are still up in the air.
14. Thanks to @ryandcordell for pointing out two more failed Trump endorsements, both in Wisconsin.
15. Reddest Kansas puts the Kibosh on Kobach, a Trump-endorsed candidate with national name recognition. I wonder how much of Kobach's loss had to do with his association with voter-suppression efforts, and how much of it was the Brownback blowback.

19. He went 2 for 2 on this one in MN.
20. Dave Brat's loss is significant because he's the outsider that beat Eric Cantor in 2010 when Cantor was Speaker. It was the beginning of the anti-establishment mvmt w/in the GOP.
21. Are you getting tired of all the winning yet?

24. This thread of candidates who Trump endorsed and who lost do not represent all of his endorsements, obviously. There were many people who he endorsed who won. I'll leave it to someone else to do a more systematic analysis of how his endorsements either hurt or helped ppl.
25. Follow @tamarakeithNPR for a more systematic analysis of Trump's endorsements and how they impacted the results.
