Allow me to say with the heavy sigh of someone explaining obvious things that no, by this I don't mean that we should support Rick Scott.
Obviously, if Bill Nelson is the Democratic candidate, we should campaign for and donate to and canvass on behalf of Bill Nelson in his campaign against Rick Scott.
Also obviously, we need leaders at every level of the government that realize that the opposing party is not acting in good faith and hasn't been for a very long time, and we should expect our leaders to stop pretending otherwise.

This is not a normal time. We need fighters.
And the Democratic strategy of tacking center in campaigns, then tacking further center in office, has led to an absolute electoral disaster.

It's a losing strategy. I say this mainly because it's lost so much, since we're talking about obvious things.
If our present leaders won't fight, if they insist on continuing to treat this moment as normal, they need to go as soon as we can find someone who will do what's needed.

If we can't, then yes, them over monsters like Rick Scott. With all our energy.
But "with all our energy" is not a fixed value. You get more "our" and more "energy" if you have someone who is bringing energy themselves. And who we don't catch pretending that this is a normal moment that calls for normal politics.

Which I also think is obvious.
I'm glad Nelson voted against Gorsuch. Good for him. Seriously.

He should vote against ANY Trump appointee. This should be automatic. A given. I really hate to see the equivocation, and I hate to see the message it sends, which is: "everything's normal." Nope.
It's disconcerting how many U.S. voters enjoy representational shit water. Terrifying.

Diluted shit water *is* preferable, and I'll vote for it if I have to, but it'll never excite me.

And we won't get any shit water enthusiasts with that pitch. None. They like the concentrate.
Hey, and if that’s true, awesome

And if Bob Nelson votes no on this nominee, awesome

My issue isn't with Nelson. My issue is with the center-tacking strategy, with which I have two issues. 1) it's already failed; 2) there's a better platform available.
Awesome when someone doesn’t bother to read what I wrote.
*Bill* Nelson. Goatcorp regrets the error.
My position is, use the primary for what it’s there for. Support the candidate that excites you. Exciting candidates win elections.

And then yes, energetically support any candidate that wins the Dem primary, defeat Rick Scott.
