Have you tried the 6 hats technique for team conversations or retrospectives?

It channels people to think in different ways - problem finding, optimistic, fact based, etc.

I’ve made this pdf you can download and print to facilitate the session. Dropbox: goo.gl/v5pVJU
A typical retrospective using this technique might look like this:

1. Blue hat for 5 minutes to set the stage
2. White hat to collect all the facts, no opinions (10 minutes)
3. Yellow hat to look at the things that went well (10 minutes)

Cont’d 👇
4. Black hat for things that didn’t go so well (10 minutes)
5. Ideas about problem solving (15 minutes)
6. Actions and feelings (how was this, who is going to do what?) (10 minutes)
If you want to know more about this technique, read about Edward de Bono and lateral thinking: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateral_t…
