Florida Attorney General (& Rick Scott backer): "I am deeply troubled by your announcement"
In a separate letter to the Florida Dept of State, AG Pam Bondi demanded they report any 'reasonable suspicion' of illegal activity
The Florida Department of State had observers in Broward, and made clear this weekend they had seen 'no evidence of criminal activity'
So we have two state agencies in Florida saying they have found nothing amiss - but that's not being received well by the state AG

VP Pence now in meeting just off the House floor in Speaker Ryan's ceremonial office. Photos not allowed. Lots of security. Lots of reporters.
Secret Service seems especially skittish outside Pence meeting. We have been specifically warned not to push too closely for comment upon departure. Normally Pence walks by us without any issue.
Pence, Kushner, Mulvaney leave without comment. Meadows says talks are 'ongoing'

One thing Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis have going for them -- besides the obvious lead in vote totals -- is history. Republican presidential candidates Rutherford B. Hayes and George Bush both ended up carrying the state of FL in 1876 and 2000, 2 other prolonged elections.
Of course, other states have had past voting problems too. But Florida managed to be one of four states contested in the disputed 1876 presidential election -- eventually decided by Congress. It was the only contested state in the 2000 election -- eventually decided by the SCOTUS

🗣️People were calling for the resignation of Brian Kemp before the Gubernatorial election that he was in against Stacey Abrams @staceyabrams, started. Kemp was #Georgia's Secretary of State (SOS) until last Thursday 11/8/18 when he resigned.

👉Rick Scott is Governor of #Florida until January 9th—so he's Ken Detzner's supervisor until that time. He appointed Ketzner to the SOS post in January 2012.

It's noon on Saturday. The deadline for Florida's counties to report votes has now passed. Ron Desantis has a 34,509 vote lead over Andrew Gillum. Rick Scott has a 13,407 vote lead over Bill Nelson.
One caveat: It is unclear whether Palm Beach and Broward Counties have actually done this. The Florida elections website shows that they are still behind, but this may merely be a failure to update.
Update: Broward has now reported its final vote totals, and in so doing cut DeSantis's lead to 33,684 (a reduction of 825), and Scott's lead to 12,562 (a reduction of 845).

Florida are down to the wire:

Scott: 50.1%
Nelson: 49.9%

DeSantis: 49.6%
Gillum: 49.1%

Both races are within 0.5% margin to sparkling automatic recount. Why can't Florida ever make up its mind?
DEVELOPING: Gillum campaign:"It has become clear there are many more uncounted ballots than was originally reported. Our campaign, along with our attorney ... is ready for any outcome," including a potential recount, and "we are committed to ensuring" every vote is counted.

When Rick Scott became Governor in January of 2010, he began a campaign to privatize 30 South Florida prisons and hired Edwin Buss as the Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections.
“It was one of the most aggressive private prison expansions in the history of the United states, maybe the most aggressive,” Edwin Buss said. While governor, Rick Scott has been through 5 Secretaries of the Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC).
Rick Scott also wanted to privatize the health care services of inmates. He hired Elizabeth Gondles to oversee it, but she had to resign over a conflict of interest: her husband was married to the head of the only organization that accredits prison medical services in the nation.
