@Ross28821353 @emrazz When someone is mugged, the testimony of the victim may be all the evidence the crime took place. No DNA, no video, just an empty purse or wallet and an ID by the victim. When a victim says there was no consent to the criminal behavior, their word is evidence. 2/
@Ross28821353 @emrazz I’m 60 yo and been an attorney for almost 30 of those years. I have never, ever heard a LEO, attorney, or judge ask a mugging or car theft victim, are you sure you didn’t agree to hand over your cash/keys? Could the defendant have mistaken your lack of consent somehow? ...3/

Did you flash your money around? Did you actually use the word no? Have you ever loaned money/your car?4
@Ross28821353 @emrazz I have been raped, twice. I have been sexually assaulted more times than I want to count. I have been sexually harassed, incl during law school by classmates, by lawyers and a judge. All but one of these events were just not worth the backlash of the complaint. 5/
@Ross28821353 @emrazz What is dangerous for women is not being believed when we do decide to speak up simply bc we are women and the person accused is male. What is dangerous for women is the dismissal of the value of ‘just’ our word.
