I'm a little anxious sharing what I consider very private information, but occasionally I feel like a little transparency would benefit the world.

I hope this brief thread helps educate folks who are passionate about music they like but don't understand the digital music world.
Last October my song Outside the Realm was licensed by Netflix in Stranger Things 2. It has since become my most popular upload on @YouTube with a moderate but respectful 400k views.

I honestly don't put much effort into my youtube channel and the few videos that are monetized really aren't worth much. Literally pennies to the day. But today I decided to check to see how much revenue a video like that would actually make.

Here are a few thoughts on the role that liberal fatalism on gun politics plays in our country's failure to stop the killing.
After every new horror, there’s the easily mocked “thoughts and prayers” response from the right. But there’s an equally predictable refrain on the center-left too: “Once again, nothing will be done.”
This world-weary prediction of inaction is pernicious. It demoralizes those who are actually motivated to fight against gun violence. And it lets off the hook those who are opposed to reform.

THREAD. Great job, @renato_mariotti! While I think @AlanDersh did a good job as well, this was a bit of an unfair fight, for the following reasons. (Also, shout out to @YaleLawSch for having two alums make the arguments! Sorry, @Harvard_Law 😁)
2. As most lawyers know, judges decide matters of law, and jurors decide matters of fact. In this "mock trial," these two things were conflated.
3. .@renato_mariotti made the kind of argument you would make to a jury: Here is the evidence I will present. It is up to a jury to decide whether to believe a witness, or decide that a particular (criminal) act took place.
