I’ve been lucky to be able to take thousands of battlefield photos during the #WW1Centenary, here some of my favourites. Dawn in the trenches at Beaumont-Hamel on the #Somme, June 2016.
The Thiepval Memorial, #Somme - November 2014.
Sunset over Ovillers Military Cemetery 2015. #Somme
Sunset at Courcelette British Cemetery on the #Somme June 2016.
Black Watch Corner Ypres #Flanders 2017.
Most Homme, #Verdun - 2016 - trenches and shell holes among the trees. The world we made, a century ago.
Indian Corps Memorial, Neuve Chapelle 2015.
Trenches at the Main de Massiges, Champagne battlefields 2015
Barbed wire in the St Mihiel Salient 2014.
My final one is the #Somme100 art installation at #Barnsley in July 2016. One of the best #WW1Centenary projects I saw. A warm summers evening with someone special made it especially memorable.
