First, its main conclusions are that blank slatist ideas are more common among those with leftist ideologies, including psychologists.
Second, human tendencies to form coalitions sometimes produces greater loyalty to those coalitions than to truth; because so many psychologists are so left, they argue, leftist ideology/blank slatism/coalitional psychology constitutes an obstacle to acceptance of EvolPsych.

Let me state up front that this thesis is not new. I'm also not sure that social psychologists actually *believe* that people are easy to change. Nevertheless, the assumption of changeability underlies a lot of social psychology research from the past ~20-30 years
The assumption of changeability is most extreme in the various flavors of social priming studies. Being outside a box enhances creativity (journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/09…), exposure to money increases conservatism (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22774789) and on and on and on

1) Personality traits are about 50% heritable: emilkirkegaard.dk/en/wp-content/… In my course, I answer "nature or nurture?" with "yes"/ "How much?" "Half." However, this doesn't mean that personality is completely stable across the lifespan. 2/

Virtually all researchers agree that dehumanization is intimately bound up with mass violence and human rights abuses. Most hold that this is explained by the fact that dehumanization causes people to become morally disengaged from those whom they abuse. eugenicsarchive.ca/database/docum…
For example, in Nazi Germany, it was common for the disabled to be called “thieves” and “criminals” to be accused of stealing. Here is a Nazi Germany poster saying disabled persons take money away from the people.
