1/ To all of you tweeting that there’s no way Trudeau can start the construction on Transmountain, you’re wrong, and here’s why.
2/ What stopped him From tabling emergency retroactive legislation to confirm that the Transport Canada assessment of tanker impacts from TMX was sufficient?
3/ Why didn’t he immediately appealed to the Supreme Court with a request for a stay on the Appeal Court's decision, which could have allowed construction to continue while the Supreme Court deliberated?
4/ Lack of political will.

Today I spent a couple of hours reading the #TransMountain federal
court decision in full. Here’s a thread explaining what it all means:
The Federal Court of Appeal’s decision on Trans Mountain is based on two issues: (1) the issue of tanker traffic was inappropriately excluded from the NEB’s decision and (2) the Government did not fulfil its duty to consult, specifically at Phase III.
(Phase III was after the NEB had made its recommendation but before the Governor in Council made its decision).

We confirmed a lot of what others have reported and we found out some new things. It’s incredibly difficult to dig up information about these camps, so I thought it would be helpful to describe how we did our reporting. 2/x
One big challenge has been the inability of Uighurs and other Muslim minorities abroad to talk about what’s happening back home, either because friends and family have cut off contact with them or because they’re afraid that talking will get their relatives sent to a camp. 3/x
