The Graduate Management Admission Test(GMAT) Score is used by various Graduate Business Schools around the world to evaluate the candidature of applicants who want to pursue their graduate studies from univ abroad.

I understand most prefer taking the GMAT exam. However, there are some applicants, who face a confusing situation regarding this exam. Questions like:

1. Is the GMAT score required in all B-schools?
2. Is it compulsory to take this test for business/M programs ?

Well, I'd like to say 'NO'. While most business school request a GMAT test, some schools consider your profile for applying to their business and management program. Note, such institutions focus on relevant hands-on experience in the field of management and research etc.

Anyways, before you apply to a business & management program, you need to know that there are 3 types of MBA programs. I mean, apart from the regular full- time course which do not require a GMAT score. There are:

1. Top Executives MBA
2. Online MBA
3. Lesser Opted MBA program

Here is list of business schools in Canada, USA and Australia with no GMAT requirement:

1. schulich.yorku.ca, York University's executive MBA program does not require a GMAT score. You need only valid academic qualifications and other compulsory transcripts.

2. smu.ca/academics/sobe…, Saint Mary's university in Halifax, Canada offers a GMAT waiver in its Master's in finance course, applicants have to submit the required transcripts and proof of other successful completion of their four year university degree.

3. wlu.ca/academics/facu…. Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada offer part-time alternate weekend MBA and does not require a GMAT score. Except for applicants who completed their degree abroad. Waiver can be granted though.

4. ivey.uwo.ca in Toronto Canada offers an Executive MBA program where one only need to attend classes four consecutive days once every month and complete the course in 15 months, alongside your career. GMAT not required. Present a well- detailed resume.

5. whitman.syr.edu Syracuse University in Canada offers an Online MBA program that allows a candidates to purse full-time without you relocating or even writing GMAT. Complete program within 24 months.

Universities in USA without no GMAT requirement:
1. anderson.ucla.edu The University of California offers an Executive MBA program to applicants with considerable relevant experience in the field range of industries, technology, media & even govt. GMAT not mandatory.

2. mitsloan.mit.edu Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers a 20 month long Executive MBA program, making ten years of work experience mandatory for the application.

3. unc.edu/school/kenan-f… the University of North Carolina, GMAT is waived off given the applicant submit an application requesting for that. Educational qualifications and transcripts required.

4. bu.edu/Questrom Boston University offers a professional evening MBA program and waive off a GMAT score too.

5. A few more Universities offering GMAT score waiver, still in the United States, are as follows
Depaul University.
Portland State University.
Loyola University.
Bellevue University.

All with varying admission criteria and requirements. Please check their website.
