If you think a joke from a celebrity about beating his child if he seemed gay, a joke that MULTIPLE famous comics have made, is harmless, you're being willfully ignorant. Implying gayness is bad is annoying; telling people violence against gay children is cool is dangerous.
Just for the record, my dad hated me and hit me for acting too gay. Lots of kids growing up their life is valueless to their parents if they come out. That hurts differently than just being told we matter less, which everyone tells us.
This is why LGBT youth have the highest suicide rate, the people we love most would rather we were dead than gay, so we try to do the only thing we can to fix the situation. That's a truth for MOST LGBT people I know.
So if @NickCannon or anyone else is asking "what's the difference" that's the difference. You don't get to perpetuate something like that then say "oops sorry" and never have to acknowledge what you did again. If you want things to be better, you have to try to make them better.
