Reviewing the Access H'd story timeline, WaPo's Farenthold got it at 11am on Oct 7, 2016, called NBC for comment around noon. Published at 4pm. Included written statement from Trump. So entirely conceivable Stone heard of pending story when WaPo called Trump campaign for comment
