In early 2012, Obama and Erdogan agreed to arm the rebels in Syria. The plan was for CIA and MI6 to transfer arms from Qaddafi’s arsenals to anti-Assad forces in Syria.

Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) was one of the major groups driving the insurgency in Syria, and so would have been among the recipients of these arms.

AQI was a State Department-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (formerly al-Qa'ida in Iraq)” was placed on the FTO list on 12/17/2004.

In April 2013, AQI - recipients of arms supplied by the US - rebranded itself as ISIS.

In other words, Obama and Clinton armed (provided material support to) a designated foreign terrorist organization. And, in the process, they midwifed ISIS.

And they did it deliberately.

They WANTED an Islamic State in eastern Syria, in order to isolate Assad. See paragraph 8C in this DIA memo:

It’s interesting, but not surprising, that the #Benghazi investigations were focused on the attacks, and not the context for the attacks: the Obama/Clinton involvement in the creation of ISIS.

Perhaps, someday, more of this will be widely known.
