I have never before in my life done a multi-tweet rant. But, on this issue, I feel so strongly that I must make my voice heard. 1/12
My wife just informed me that she and both kids DO NOT want Christmas tacos on Christmas day. Instead, they want to have Christmas enchiladas. 2/12
I, of course, am stunned at this development. I am trying to keep myself together… but… 3/12
I really like Christmas tacos, and am super sad to hear that the rest of my family apparently has tired of them, despite our multi-decade family tradition. 4/12
I haven’t been this disappointed since I first found out that all Mariah Carey wanted for Christmas was NOT me. (true story, but not the point of this rant.) 5/12
I told the family that Christmas enchiladas are going to be a lot more work for all of us. 6/12
They said it wouldn’t be that much more work to make enchiladas over tacos. I said, “Yes, it will. Someone will have to write the song. We have a Christmas taco song, but nothing for enchiladas.” 7/12
And you can’t just substitute “Enchiladas” for “Tacos” because there are just too many more syllables. And that would be wrong anyway. 8/12
Topping it off, although I don’t claim to be a theologian, I’m pretty sure that Jesus never even ATE an enchilada ONCE. 9/12
Still, I’ll do my very best to enjoy the enchiladas as we embark on a new chapter in the Skoudis family household. 10/12
The family and I agreed that we would watch the Die Hard movie tonight together to get us all into a better holiday spirit after today’s stunning revelation. 11/12
That’s all I have to say on the matter. I understand others may have a different view of this situation. I respect that. And I shall do everything I can to enjoy those enchiladas on Christmas day. 12/12
