Happy New Year, Hive Mind! A quick museum question to start off your 2019. What do you think are the biggest issues facing ppl who make museum experiences in 2019? Competition? Lack of resources? Attention spans? I have thoughts, but I'd love to hear yours.

happy new year!! In the spirit of resolutions, I did up some stuff on starting out/improving with backgrounds!
Nothing in this is cut & dry or set in stone, it's more just a bunch of tips & ideas I've picked up over the years that might help get the ball rolling.

Happy New Year. I just spoke to my father, & here is a small story about the act of speaking.

I live & work with words as a writer, reader, & organizer of written work. My father, though not much of a writer, also loved words. At my childhood dinner table, the dictionary was a common companion. He would make me look up words I didn't know & we would talk about them. 2/
He didn't read as much as my mother did, but then few people do. He read a lot though, and loved books. He also loved to talk. I would have to plan my phone calls for when I had a free hour or two. 3/

Set in 1994, this Russian Mafia AU made me CRAZY. The depth of research gave it such a tremendous sense of place. And Kyril Ren is fucking sexy. And BANYAS people! @voicedimplosive u blew my mind
I loves me some ReyLogan and boy, did @PD3Reylo deliver! With an underlying thriller plot a la Sleeping with the Enemy, I loved every update. And the Clyde in this one was so unassuming and gentle you can’t help but love him.

start the new year right by looking up basic biomass energy & waste product yield figures that SHOULD be readily available but nooooo you have to sort through 20 papers just to find one data point to *start* building your yield range for 1 parameter and you need 4 parameters
Part of the frustration is I'm looking up this info from a crop science & waste mgmt perspective,

which is often only loosely connected to the literature that deals with energy generation.

And the energy lit is written for energy engineers, so good fing luck to dirt scientists.
Biomass is a key slice of renewable energy puzzle. Doesn't just mean biomethane & burning trees (which is what ppl often mean by "biomass energy" rn).

It also can mean, say, turning waste into light, odorless charcoal to save on landfill fees & make energy while you're at it.

While we tried as much as possible to avert major disasters in the past 48hours, we can’t but be grateful to patriotic officers within the @PoliceNG structures that allowed the Spirit of the Yuletide influence their actions. We have recorded far less casualties in 3years.
We are however concerned about the 100s of @PoliceNG officers dismissed for desertion. We are concerned about the selection process and this will be lookied into as we proceed. The low record of oppression, abduction & extortion of our youth this Christmas shows we can do more.
This doesn’t take away the fact that citizens have a who,e lot of thinking to do in their decision towards the realignment of leadership to purpose in 2019. All our institutions are under great pressure & stress by the enemies of our democracy. We are all Victims.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you for an incredible 2018! I'm so grateful for all of you and the insane opportunities and experiences that I've had!

I had a goal of 25,000 subscribers for the end of this year and ended it with 36,300+ subscribers with December being the biggest one yet!
At the beginning of August, I hit 1 million views & this year I end with 3 MILLION views.

I recorded a super candid & vulnerable thank you for everyone who got me there at the end of this video. I was so grateful & humbled back then & I'm even more now.

2018 was the year that I found community. I discovered an amazing community of people who watched me, which blows my mind. I still underestimate all of you every time ❤️🙏
