Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is succeeding because she's realized people are tired of fighting over inches of territory and that the only way to create giant change is to acknowledge that giant change is possible.
For way, way, way too long Democrats have fought their battles on the terms of Republicans and ceded reality to their definitions. They need to change those definitions and change that reality.
In the era of Trump we see how he defines the debate. Is there a crisis on the border? Yes or no? That's defining of reality. Democrats need to work beyond his definitions and Republican definitions and provide an alternative versus an opposition.
The American Political System has largely clogged due to an inability to think outside of established positions. Change it. Fracture what's accepted and create new meaning from the fracturing. Change what people think is possible because right now it's based on regressive meaning
